The new recruits for the Atlantic City Fire Department
are introduced to the new, strict manner in which their
training will be conducted. This is also an historic moment
for the city's fire department: the first female fire
fighter, Anne Gramlich, plans to join the ranks. But like
the other recruits, she must prepare herself for the hard
weeks of learning ahead.
